A photo from Being a Ghost (beingaghost.com) Red-tailed Hawk on the Lookout
I don’t remember ever seeing red-tailed hawks[1] in New York City[2] when I was a kid. But now I see them fairly regularly, especially in winter months, and I’m happy to have them as neighbors. I shot this photo with my camera mounted to a refracting telescope[4]. About the project: Being a Ghost by Scott Matthews is an interactive set of twenty-seven overlapping photographs taken from a single vantage in New York City between 2011 and 2016. Prints are available as interactive sets. |
