A photo from Being a Ghost (beingaghost.com) Sheltered Mary, Blizzard of 2016
I felt sorry to see Mary[1] endure the Blizzard of 2016[2] all alone. I also thought it was interesting how the blanket of snow revealed that the wire support at bottom-left echoes the form of a cross. If you compare with “Mother Mary is My Line Judge”: when the roof is its typical blacktop, you can no longer see it. About the project: Being a Ghost by Scott Matthews is an interactive set of twenty-seven overlapping photographs taken from a single vantage in New York City between 2011 and 2016. Prints are available as interactive sets. |
